AKON is one of many licensed themes released by GoAnimate.com. Around the development stages of GoAnimate, a deal was made with a popular musical artist of the 2000's, Akon (full name: Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam) known from hits like "Lonely", "Smack That" and "Don't Matter". The theme was released on 2008 and fans of the singer were encouraged to make adaptations of songs, the videos being displayed on the official Akon website as well as the GoAnimate social media site. This theme was the least used out of all the themes available in GoAnimate's infancy. This theme wasn't advertised as much as the other themes available on GoAnimate at the time and was silently retired in 2010. It is assumed that the theme was discontinued for licensing expiration. Akon is also the first theme on GoAnimate to be retired.
It returned on FlashThemes.
Experience[]
Being made with the same technology, the AKON theme functions the same as its sister themes, namely Cartoon Classics or Star Trek. The characters can not lip sync despite being created for the purpose of complementing songs by said musical artist. There are five characters inn the series, each having their own unique set of actions and facial expression and can all walk with the motion path tool. The ficial expressions of this theme while still charmingly cartoony are not as exagerated as cartoon classics. Most of the characters in this theme are notiably short compared to those of other themes,
