GoAnimate City is a Discord server founded by GoTube and GoTest334. As of July 2025, it has over 10,000 members. It is the central place for all things GoAnimate-related, and a fun place for all GoAnimators and GoAnimate fans to hang out and is currently the biggest GoAnimate server of all time, surpassing GoAnimate Central and Wrapper: Offline. About & History[]
Founding[]
GoAnimate City was founded on August 6th, 2020 by GoTube, GoTest334, and 2Epik4u. It was originally founded as Wrapper: Events, a spin-off server to benson's Wrapper: Offline server. It was originally meant to host game events, and have little to do with actual chatting and such.
Transition into Wrapper Central[]
Over the next couple of months, Wrapper: Events would grow at an unprecedented rate, farther than any GoAnimate server before. It ended up surpassing Vyond Central's userbase, and killing it's activity. The reason for why it was so quickly able to surpass Vyond Central is still debated, but it is widely accepted that it was due to Vyond Central's rampant corruption and mismanagement.
Since Wrapper: Events was the new central place for GoAnimate-related things and GoAnimators, it was renamed into "Wrapper Central" on August 19th, 2020 by GoTube.
1000 Member Milestone[]
On September 1st, 2020, GoAnimate City hit 1,000 members. The 1000th member was a user by the name of "boris auttp". A 1,000 member party would be held on September 11, 2020.
1000 Members Party[]
On September 11th, 2020 a party was hosted by Awesomewebm and GoTest334 to congratulate GoAnimate City hitting 1,000 members. It was a game on Roblox where people hung out. But then it quickly turned into a disaster.. but quite a funny one. It turned out that all the Server Boosters who were given VIP permissions actually had admin commands, and they started spawning in airstrikes and flinging people. It ended with GoTest shutting down the server.
Parody-Account Era (October 19th - October 25th)[]
In mid-October an influx of "parody" accounts came into the server. These were similar to Twitter parody accounts. People would make alt accounts pretending to be famous people/characters. Some of these accounts included Franklin Roosevelt, Homer Simpson, Hank Hill, and more. These accounts were funny at first, However, over the days, the parody accounts started breaking rules, disrupting the chats, and doing other malicious activities. Eventually, it was too much to handle and they were banned from the general chat, and moved to a channel called #parody-general, a compromise channel made for parody accounts. This marked the end for the parody era. Eventually, this channel died out and was deleted.
Transition into GoAnimate City[]
On December 28, 2020, the server was renamed from Wrapper Central to GoAnimate City. This was because GoTube and GoTest wanted to emphasize on the fact that this was a server for the GoAnimate Community, and less a server about LVM-Wrapper software related projects.
On the same day, benson, (founder of Wrapper: Offline) gave the Wrapper: Offline server to xomdjl_ and placed him as head of development. It was then decided that the server would be renamed into Wrapper Hub and that GoAnimate City would be the community server, and Wrapper Hub would be the LVM/Wrapper server
The Reform Act / The Six Principles[]
- Transparency - "First off, transparency will be the first change. I promise you we will be a lot more transparent with updates and changes, and moderation in general. An example of this: I will leave my DMs and friend requests 100% open. Feel free to DM me with whatever you'd like."
- Freedom - "More freedoms will be given to members. You will not be attacked or belittled by staff, and you will be free to express what you want as long as other members do not feel bothered by it. I have seen way too much of this, and it is time to put it to an end. If you see any staff member abusing their power, attacking/antagonizing others, ect. Report it to me immediately. This will no longer be tolerated."
- Anti-Corruption - "This act is to stop making the staff team and others viewed as elite. They will be treated as normal members just like anyone else, and will be punished just like anyone else. Again, if you see anything, please feel free to report it to the ModMail or my DMs."
- Crackdown on Drama - "Drama will be cracked down upon. Any fights will be immediately suppressed if it is annoying the chat. This does not include minor debates that are friendly and non-toxic, or anything the people do not have a problem with. If you see any fights, please ping @Crackdown Team and we will assist."
- Power to The People - "Greater power will be given to every member in the server. There will often be feedback forms and you will be free to share your opinion anytime you want, no matter what it is. If you don't feel comfortable with publicly expressing your opinion, just DM me (I will keep everything confidential) or use the forms, which only I have access to."
- Moderation Reforms - "Moderation will be reformed. There will be staff applications, anti-corruption measures (as mentioned above), and more. Moderators who do not improve their ability or behavior will be demoted."
GoTube then hired MsFizzy as a Community Council member (Community Manager), released a feedback form, released Staff Applications and began unbanning previously banned active members, to give them a second chance. This has mostly worked, with every member being productive, besides SarothMerc, who continue to broke rules and had to be banned. As of May 12th, 2021, SarothMerc got a third chance, and has been unbanned again. However, he was permanently banned from the server on May 20th, 2021 due to him causing too much in the server for the last time.
As of May 27th, 2021, MsFizzy had been demoted from her Server Council role, to an admin. Luckily, GoTest apologised for the unfair demotion to her and Spark and has accepted his mistake, undoing the demotion.
4000 Member Milestone[]
On June 21st, 2021, GoAnimate City became the first ever discord server in the GoAnimate community to hit 4,000 members. The 4,000th member of GoAnimate City is a user named DenisX. GoTube and GoTest held a gigantic GoGame and Movie Night event the next day.
4000 Members Party[]
On June 22nd, 2021, GoTube and GoTest hosted a big GoGame and Movie Night event to congratulate GoAnimate City for hitting 4,000 members. GoTest would live stream the entire GoGame portion of the event on the GoAnimate City YouTube channel. The entire event lasted for 13 hours.
The event was suppose to start at 9AM ET, but it was later postponed to start at 12PM ET instead.
For the entire 6 hours and 40 minutes of GoGame, They had played Roblox, Skribbl.io and Jackbox Party Pack 4. And then 4 movies were played during the Movie Night portion of the event.
Shorty after the 4,000 member event has ended, GoTube announced that a new event similar to both GoGame and Movie Night called "A Gameshow Event" is coming soon to GoAnimate City.
Modern Day[]
GoAnimate City is now beginning to become great again, some members say. Corruption has been eliminated, antagonization has been eliminated, and overly-edgy topics have been restricted.

Art Shoutout Monday (2020-23)[]
Art Shoutout Monday was a weekly event in GoAnimate City, where many would vote on select pieces of art (made by various users) to decide which one was the best. Who ever had the highest votes won many different prizes ranging from GA Coins to image permissions.

- There was no direct server owner in GAC until 2024. In 2021, GoTube, Rack and GoTest shared a role called "High Council" which symbolized the 3 users owning the server.
- Fartnoise9, the owner of GoAnimate Central, helped make the economy for the server.
- On April 30th, 2021, MJ, the Spirit revamped the economy and fixed several things.
- MJ, the Spirit was the most popular staff member in 2021.
- The vanity URL "discord.gg/goanimate" was originally owned by GoAnimate Central, for a brief period of time.
- GoAnimate City was the most active GoAnimate Server in 2022.
- On April 27th, 2021, GoTube started the Reform Act after the server had a huge argument due to some users leaving poor reviews for the server.
- On May 2nd, 2021, the events from GoAnimate Central have been restored in GA City as "Daily Events". MJ, The Spirit actually helped with the XP boost and Workaholic events a couple of times each.
- GoAnimate City became the first ever GoAnimate Discord server to hit 4,000 members.
- CartoonMations won the server icon contest for the server after it was revamped in January 2024.
- Malmations now owns the server.

Art Shoutout Monday[]
An event where people vote off what art shown in #fan-art or #artists is the best, where the most votes will give rewards, ranging from GA-Coins to image permissions in #general.
XP Boost Tuesday[]
During this event, all users have their XP boosted by 1.5x when they send messages in the server. MJ formerly ran this event a couple of times when he had the - role but GoTest wanted himself to run it instead.
Workaholic Wednesday ★[]
An event that MJ runs (since he's in charge of the economy) where the $work profit is increased by 1.5x. It lasts from when MJ starts it (roughly when he wakes up) until tomorrow morning, GMT. On average, approximately 8AM on Wednesday to 8AM on Thursday, which is roughly 4x longer than GA Central's standards.
Last Thursday I Asked You (LTIAY)[]
A challenge event that GoTest/GoTube runs where the rules and goal are shown in the respective channel and/or #event-news. The person that makes the best video or media for the event wins a large reward.
Movie Night Friday ★[]
GoTest and/or GoTube holds a vote for 2/3 possible movies to watch along with a time, where it is hosted by a them or a staff member for viewers to watch.
GoGame Saturday ★[]
GoTest and/or GoTube hosts a gaming event that everyone could play ranging from Minecraft to Roblox, with votes deciding the time when it should start. Prizes are handed out, such as GA-Coins and rarely, image permissions in #general.
Skribbl Sunday[]
Users join skribbl.io to attempt to draw an object, whereas watchers have to guess what the draw is drawing. Coins are handed out for those who are champs of the match(es).
