Content[]
Luke makes grounded-style GoAnimate videos. These include Caillou Gets Ungrounded, Classic Caillou Gets Grounded, Boris Gets Grounded, Bob Gets Grounded, and more. GoTube's GoAnimate videos have a satirical undertone similar to IT-Saac, however his main inspirations are SolitaireJoker and Paul Verdi. He was one of the first GoAnimators to utilize the Thumbnail feature on his videos. His signature trend is hiding a hidden cake in every video, He was one of the first GoAnimators to hide a hidden item in their videos, and was the one to popularize it.
GoTube went on hiatus from July 2019 - October 2019, then from November 2019 - March 2020. He has returned from both hiatuses and is now active again.
History[]
Pre-GoAnimate Era[]
Luke first joined YouTube on December 14, 2013, under an account named Lukester (now defunct). He would make trivial, un-notable content for the first 3 years of his YouTube career.
On July 8, 2016, Luke would join the GoAnimate Community, where he would begin to rise to prominence. His GoAnimate videos got many more views than his previous content.
On September 21, 2016, a video on the Lukester channel would be published called: "How to get the old themes back on all the goanimate sites".[1] This video would get thousands of views and attract the attention of other GoAnimators such as Julian3535 and BrentAnimate, both of which were asking to use GoTube's GoAnimate4Schools account. At the time however, BrentAnimate was not a GoAnimator, and went under the name MrFizzyCat. GoTube replied to Brent's comment, accepting his request to use his GoAnimate4Schools account.
LukeDoesGames/LukeAnimate Era[]
On November 4, 2016, GoTube and BrentAnimate would make new YouTube channels under the name LukeDoesGames[2] and BrentDoesGames[3] (now LukeAnimate & BrentAnimate). Together they would help each other grow, with LukeDoesGames gaining around 2,000 subscribers by the end of 2016.[4] He mostly made Caillou Gets Grounded videos with some Boris Gets Grounded and Fat Caillou Gets Grounded videos.
On November 19, 2018, Luke would rename his channel from LukeDoesGames into LukeAnimate, due to his channel not having anything to do with games, despite "DoesGames" in his username.[5] BrentDoesGames also changed his username to BrentAnimate some time before this.
GoTube Era[]

GoTube's old avatar. (2018 - April 2019)
On July 26, 2018, GoTube would create his now main-channel GoTube, as a test for the YouTube algorithm.[6] Later that year, to execute his plans on the algorithm he would publish his first video (not counting the channel trailer) called "Caillou Gets Bullied/Bully Grounded BIG TIME".[7] GoTube wanted to use specific keywords and utilize content that people wanted but were not making, to see if the video would get more views. By the end of the year, GoTube had completely forgotten about the channel, but the one video on there had gained over 1,000,000 views. While GoTube was checking his alternative YouTube accounts, he noticed GoTube had over 8,900 subscribers. He thought it was a simple glitch in the HTML, so he investigated and found out that his algorithm test had been a success. From there he revamped the channel, personalizing it and making a new avatar, so he could focus his attention on the GoTube channel more.
After revitalizing the GoTube channel, he stopped producing content on the LukeAnimate channel almost entirely, with a few exceptions such as commentary videos addressing topics in the community. GoTube would continue to grow over the years, eventually hitting 100,000 subscribers in January 2023 and 200,000 subscribers in September 2024. He is the first and only GoAnimator to hit 200,000 subscribers.
Community Involvement[]
Throughout his career, GoTube has attempted to build up the infrastructure and improve the GoAnimate Community. This has included his efforts to move the GoAnimate Community from Google Hangouts to Discord in 2017 to centralize and stabilize the community; becoming a co-owner of GoAnimate Central and eventually founder of GoAnimate City, the two biggest Discord servers relating to GoAnimate; his contributions to GoAnimate Wrapper, Wrapper: Offline and FlashThemes project; his creation of channels such as GoAnimate Tutorials and GoAnimate Archive Project, which are purposed to spread knowledge on how to access GoAnimate and reupload deleted GoAnimate videos respectfully; and his adoption of GoAnipedia from Superwatery.
GoTube will often give shout-outs and advice to smaller GoAnimators in an effort to encourage the growth of their channels.
