History[]

Street Fighter is a licensed theme on GoAnimate which is based on the video game franchise of the same name.

Go!Animate partnered with Capcom in 2008 as a promotion for Street Fighter IV, which would come out on July 18 in the same year. Licensed themes had an average lifespan of 3 years, with the exception of AKON's 2-year run, and that means the license for the Street Fighter theme expired in 2011. It is available to use today thanks to Wrapper Offline and Flashthemes. The theme has its exclusive sfx and music, such as music for the different stages named after the fighters, win and lose fanfare, some fighter sound effects, namely laughs, hitting, or getting hit, and of the announcer himself.

Roster[]

The characters are from Street Fighter IV, and are in the theme as follows; Akuma, Ken, Blue Ken, Blanka, Ryu, Evil Ryu, Zangief, Chun Li, Sagat, Vega, M Bison, Guile, E. Honda, Dhalsim, Balrog, and Sakura.

Trivia[]

Sometime in 2008 after the game released, a poll was made for adding a new Street Fighter character to the theme. We can deduce it was one of the first two, Akuma or Sakura, as the others never made it into the theme.
